The Southern Oregon Habituation Area (SOHA)
Welcome to the “Southern Oregon Habituation Area” (SOHA) gallery. This is the area where Dr. Matthew Johnson (“Dr. J.”) decided to switch his Bigfoot research approach from the “Old School” method to Dr. Jane Goodall’s “Habituation” method. We hope you enjoy viewing the photos and reading the descriptions that depict the change in Dr. J.’
Grady Johnson and Dad
Grady Johnson poses with his dad, Dr Matthew A Johnson ("Dr J") with castings from a Bigfoot family obtained at the Southern Oregon Habituation Area (SOHA). Five year old Grady Johnson found four out of the five Bigfoot prints on the same day in May of 2012. He made is daddy proud.
Dr Matthew A Johnson's size 16 shoe (14.5 inches long) is on the left hand side of the Bigfoot castings. Grady Johnson's much smaller foot is on the right hand side. Grady Johnson, age 5, found four out of the five Bigfoot prints in the ground at the Southern Oregon Habituation Area (SOHA) in May of 2012.
While sleeping in his tent at night at the Southern Oregon Habituation Area (SOHA), Dr Matthew A Johnson ("Dr J") heard someone messing around with the package of plastic water bottles on the top of his Suburban. The next morning, he found a Bigfoot handprint on the back window of his Suburban that made his own hand look small. "Dr J" is 6'9" tall and can palm a basketball.
Dr Matthew A Johnson ("Dr J") would always clean the gifting bowls while wearing surgical gloves to prevent placing his own fingerprints on the surfaces (inside and outside). He would place the gifting bowls out about 150 feet away from the basecamp at the Southern Oregon Habituation Area (SOHA) at sunset. Then he would retrieve the gifting bowls the next morning at sunrise while wearing surgical gloves. Therefore, any fingerprints or handprints that were found on the gifting bowls did not belong to "Dr J" or other members of his research team.
Mike Kincaid lives in the San Francisco Bay area in California. He would drive north to join Dr Matthew A Johnson ("Dr J") at the Southern Oregon Habituation Area (SOHA). For several years, Mike Kincaid was "Dr J's" righthand man. "Dr J" considers Mike to be one of his best friends and loves him like a brother.
